The Breastfeeding Network has been commissioned by Lewisham Council to provide free, non-judgmental, evidence-based baby feeding support to all Lewisham families. We train local breastfeeding parents to go on to support others in their community, whether you’re expecting, already feeding, wanting to stop, no matter how old your child is, we are here if you just want to chat to another mum about infant feeding.
Our Peer Supporters are here to help:
- We have a team of friendly and experienced Peer Supporters who offer support on the postnatal ward at Lewisham Hospital.
- We can also offer home visits to parents and new babies who may find it hard to get to a group.
- Our volunteers can be found in groups in the community across Lewisham, working alongside Health Visiting.
Stay updated on support groups and services by following us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BfNLewisham/
The National Breastfeeding Helpline is also available day or night – 0300 100 0212 day or night, or message them 9:30am-9:30pm on Facebook @NationalBreastfeedingHelpline.
